The Ibex Cable System is a universal rack mounted functional trainer. Designed to work with 4-post and 6-post racks, the Ibex System is compatible with racks from top brands including Rogue, REP, Titan, and more. At the heart of the system, our patent pending Cable Retractor keeps your cable tensioned, makes height adjustments easy, and eliminates the complex cable runs seen on traditional functional trainers.

In addition to the functional trainer capabilities, we will be offering a lat pulldown upper arm which provides a no compromise lat pull by moving the pull point up and away from your rack. We also plan to offer a leg roller attachment and a low row footplate attachment in the future. Check out our Instagram for teasers of these attachments.

We recommend the Ibex System for anyone with a 4-post or 6-post rack that wants a truly rack integrated solution with the option to go heavy and add a lat pull.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The 1X Lat Upper Arm replaces one of the Single Pulley Mounts. For example, a 2-Side Ibex with 1X Lat Upper Arm comes with 3 Single Pulley Mounts. Not 4.
  • The Single Pulley Mounts do not come with rack mounting hardware. In 95%+ installations, the Single Pulley Mounts will reuse the hardware already on your rack for mounting the pull-up bar or crossmember. You can see the installation process in our Installation Instructions.

FAQ

Will this work with my rack?

The Ibex Cable System is designed to work with any 4-post or 6-post rack with 3x3” uprights. This includes 3x3” and 75x75mm racks, as well as 1” and 5/8” hardware.

How much height does it add to my rack?

Our Upper Arm comes up 3-3/8" from the center of the top mounting hole. Our Single Pulley Mounts come up 2-1/4" from the mounting hole.

On our Rogue Monster rack, this equates to about 3/4" above the top of our rack. However, the Upper Arm and Single Pulley Mounts can technically be mounted at any hole height on your rack.

Do I have to load the trolley evenly (left and right)?

No! Balancing the load is a pain. We worked extra hard to make the trolley rollers oriented in a way that movement will be super smooth even with uneven loading. We almost always load just one side for convenience.

Should I bolt down my rack?

It is always good practice to bolt down your rack. With the added loading due to the cable system, bolting down your rack is even more critical.

Does the Ibex Cable System work for left and right side mounts?

Yes! All parts are reversible.

Where will the Ibex Cable System be made?

The Ibex Cable System was conceived, designed, and tested in San Francisco, CA. The Trolley System will be primarily made in China. All parts will be quality checked, assembled, packaged, and shipped from the San Francisco Bay Area.
